What is Karna Purana?

Karna Purana is an Ayurvedic procedure of filling the ear canal with warm, sterile medicated oils to treat ear disorders and Vata imbalance in the head.

Three-Phase Procedural Protocol

Phase I

Purva Karma (Preparation)

Ear lobe massage and localized mild steam fomentation.

Phase II

Pradhan Karma (Primary Procedure)

Patient lies side-ways; warm Bilva Taila or Deepika Taila poured dropwise into ear canal.

Phase III

Paschat Karma (Post-Therapy Care)

Oil retained for 10-15 minutes, wiped gently, followed by ear cotton plugin.
